Will This Fix My Problem?

Honest answer: here's exactly what this service fixes — and what it doesn't.

Fixes:

  • HP Tuners / EFILive returns "vehicle not supported" or "security violation" on your PCM/TCM
  • Tuner software won't allow reads or writes of factory calibration
  • You bought a used ECM/TCM and need to unlock it before flashing your own tune
  • GPEC2A Hellcat owner blocked from tuning by Stellantis security update
  • GM dealer reflashed the module and re-locked it after a service campaign

Won't fix:

  • Hardware-failed PCM (we unlock, not repair internal damage)
  • Tuning itself — we unlock, you tune (or work with a tuner)
  • Modules outside the supported list (text us to confirm before shipping)

Do you tune the module too?
No — we only unlock it. Tuning is a separate skill set and we deliberately stay out of the calibration / dyno-tuning business. After we unlock, you (or your tuner) flash whatever calibration you want using HP Tuners, EFILive, DiabloSport, or similar.
Will the unlock be detected by the dealer?
The unlock itself isn't outwardly visible — the module operates identically and reports normally to OBD-II. However, if you flash a non-stock tune AFTER unlocking, the dealer scan tool will see modified calibration values. To return to dealer-detectable-stock state, use our Stock OEM Re-Programming service.
What's the difference between this and your "Stock Re-Programming" service?
Unlock = removes the security so the module can be tuned. Stock Re-Programming = flashes the module back to factory OEM calibration. You'd use unlock BEFORE tuning, and stock re-programming AFTER (e.g., before selling, before warranty work, or after a failed tune).
My module isn't on the list — can you unlock it?
Maybe. Text us the part number — we add new module families regularly as Chrysler / GM ship new security patches. If we can't unlock yours, we tell you upfront and refund.
Is this legal?
Yes for off-road / racing / non-emissions-vehicle use. Modifying the calibration of an emissions-regulated vehicle for street use violates EPA Clean Air Act regulations. We don't tune; that decision is on you.
