Michigan FAQ
Common questions from customers shipping from Michigan.
How long does shipping take from Michigan to your Arlington TX workshop?
USPS Priority Mail from Detroit, MI reaches our Arlington workshop in about 2-3 business days. UPS Ground similar. We start work the same day your module arrives, and ship back next business day with return shipping included.
How much does it cost to ship from Michigan?
USPS Priority Mail flat-rate from Michigan to Arlington TX runs about $12. Customer pays shipping to us; return shipping back to Michigan is included in the $149 service price.
Do you accept modules from Michigan?
Yes — we ship to and from all 50 US states including Michigan. Our Arlington TX workshop receives modules from Detroit and the rest of Michigan every week.
Is there a pcm unlocking (chrysler gpec2/2a, gm t87a/t93, e41/e90/e93) shop in Detroit I should use instead?
Most local Detroit shops don't offer pcm unlocking (chrysler gpec2/2a, gm t87a/t93, e41/e90/e93) as a bench service — they'd send the part to someone like us anyway. Going direct saves the markup and shortens the timeline. Total round-trip from Detroit: typically 5-7 days.
Do you tune the module too?
No — we only unlock it. Tuning is a separate skill set and we deliberately stay out of the calibration / dyno-tuning business. After we unlock, you (or your tuner) flash whatever calibration you want using HP Tuners, EFILive, DiabloSport, or similar.
Will the unlock be detected by the dealer?
The unlock itself isn't outwardly visible — the module operates identically and reports normally to OBD-II. However, if you flash a non-stock tune AFTER unlocking, the dealer scan tool will see modified calibration values. To return to dealer-detectable-stock state, use our Stock OEM Re-Programming service.
What's the difference between this and your "Stock Re-Programming" service?
Unlock = removes the security so the module can be tuned. Stock Re-Programming = flashes the module back to factory OEM calibration. You'd use unlock BEFORE tuning, and stock re-programming AFTER (e.g., before selling, before warranty work, or after a failed tune).
