The C8 Corvette (introduced 2020 with the LT2 6.2L mid-engine) and the CT5-V Blackwing (with the LT4 6.2L supercharged V8) both use the GM E93 ECM family. The E93 is significantly more secure than the E78 / E92 / E38 ECMs that preceded it — HP Tuners and EFILive both required updates to even read the E93, and many of those reads still require the PCM to be unlocked first.

For C8 / Blackwing owners who want to make any meaningful calibration changes (cam timing adjustments on naturally-aspirated LT2, supercharger pulley swaps on LT4, suspension cal adjustments, transmission shift tuning on the 8-speed DCT, etc.), the E93 unlock is the prerequisite. Without it, the tuner sees the PCM but can't write to it.

Our bench unlock service handles E93 by direct chip access — same approach as we use on E41 (LT1 Camaro) and E90 (L5P Duramax). After unlock, your tuner reads + writes normally. We don't perform the tune itself; that's between you and your tuner of choice.
