Will This Fix My Problem?
Honest answer: here's exactly what this service fixes — and what it doesn't.
Fixes:
- ✓Your DSG mechatronic failed and you are fitting a used donor unit
- ✓Harsh, jerky, or slipping shifting caused by a faulted mechatronic
- ✓Transmission stuck in gear or gear-selection faults from the mechatronic
- ✓Mechatronic fault codes after an electronic failure
- ✓No drive after installing a used / donor mechatronic
- ✓You need the donor coded and adapted to your car without a dealer visit
Won't fix:
- ✗Does not repair worn or slipping clutch packs
- ✗Does not fix mechanical transmission damage (gears, bearings, forks)
- ✗Does not repair hydraulic or mechanical wear inside the mechatronic
- ✗Does not replace failed solenoids or valve-body hardware
- ✗Does not cure shudder caused by a worn dual-clutch assembly
- ✗Does not guarantee a clone if the donor part number does not match
- ✗Does not repair a mechatronic that is physically dead / unreadable
- ✗Does not fix engine, ABS, or unrelated driveline faults
Data clone only — please read before ordering
This service is a 1:1 data clone of your mechatronic onto a matching donor: adaptation, coding, and component-protection / immobilizer data where applicable. It is a software transfer, not a repair — it does not fix worn clutch packs, mechanical transmission damage, hydraulic wear, or failed valve-body hardware; those must be repaired mechanically. Because component-protection / immobilizer data can be involved, proof of ownership is required, and a technician verifies fitment by part number and module label before you ship. The customer is responsible for compliance with local, state, and federal law.
Shipping Instructions
These details are also emailed to you the moment your payment clears.
Verify first: text or email us both mechatronic part numbers (original + donor) and a technician confirms they match and are supported before you ship anything. Once verified, ship the original and donor mechatronics (and proof of ownership) to PO Box 120241, Arlington TX 76012 if you ship USPS — or 1009 Oakwood Ln # 120241, Arlington TX 76012 if you ship UPS or FedEx (UPS and FedEx cannot deliver to a PO Box). We clone the data on the bench, verify it, and ship the donor back via the return option you pick at checkout (Standard $24.95, UPS 2-Day $54.95, or UPS overnight $94.95).
What to include in your box
- Your original DSG mechatronic control unit
- The donor mechatronic (matching part number)
- Year, make, model, and gearbox code (e.g. 2013 VW GTI DQ250)
- VIN of the vehicle
- Both mechatronic part numbers off the case labels
- Proof of ownership (title, registration, or bill of sale)
- Whether the original mechatronic still powers up / communicates
- A clear photo of both part-number labels, plus your name, return address, and phone
