Will This Fix My Problem?

Honest answer: here's exactly what this service fixes — and what it doesn't.

Fixes:

  • VW/Audi starts then immediately dies / stalls on immobilizer
  • Need ME7 immo off for an engine swap
  • Running 1.8T standalone, no cluster — immobilizer blocking it
  • Used ECU won't run in my swap, immobilizer fault
  • VW immobilizer delete / IMMO off ME7.5

Won't fix:

  • A car that won't crank or won't start at all (IMMO-off only helps start-then-stall)
  • Fuel, ignition, sensor, or wiring no-starts unrelated to the immobilizer
  • Cluster/instrument or key faults that need actual repair
  • Any emissions defeat - immobilizer-only; we do not delete catalysts, O2/secondary-air monitors, or emissions equipment; for off-road/motorsport/standalone use where legally permitted

Frequently Asked

Still have a question? Text us — replies in minutes.

What does ME7 IMMO-off actually do?
The Bosch ME7.x ECU normally checks in with the cluster immobilizer before it keeps running. We write that requirement off inside the ECU, so it runs without the cluster or a matched key - which is what lets a swapped or standalone ECU run free.
My car won't start at all — will IMMO-off fix it?
No. IMMO-off only helps a car that fires up and then stalls a couple seconds later. If your car cranks and never starts, the problem is elsewhere (fuel, ignition, sensors, wiring).
Can I run a junkyard/donor ME7 ECU with this?
Yes - common use. With the immobilizer off, the donor ECU no longer needs to match a specific cluster or key, so it'll run in a swap or standalone harness. Send the ECU and its part number.
Is this an emissions delete?
No. This is an immobilizer-only service for engine-swap, standalone, off-road, and motorsport use where legally permitted. It does not touch emissions equipment - no catalyst, O2/secondary-air, or monitor changes.
How do I know my ECU is ME7?
We cover Bosch ME7.1, ME7.1.1 and ME7.5 across ~1998-2006 VW/Audi gasoline engines. The part number on the label (often 06A/06B/022 for VW or 8E0/4B0 for Audi) tells us the exact hardware - send it and we confirm.
