GM E38 / E67 / E92 ECM Cloning — Gen IV LS & Vortec (2007-2014 Global A)

We clone your original GM ECM's full data — calibration, VIN, and security — onto a matching used/donor E38, E67, or E92 so it drops in and runs without dealer programming.

Will This Fix My Problem?

Honest answer: here's exactly what this service fixes — and what it doesn't.

Fixes:

  • Used ECM that won't program on-vehicle (off-board programming detected)
  • No-start / no-communication after installing a junkyard ECM
  • Failed original ECM you're replacing with a matching used unit
  • LS engine swap needing the donor ECM married to your VIN/security
  • VIN-mismatch or immobilizer faults from a donor controller

Won't fix:

  • A donor with a non-matching part/service number (must match the original)
  • Engine mechanical faults, wiring, sensors, or fuel-system no-starts
  • Emissions or smog compliance - this is a like-for-like clone, NOT an emissions-defeat or delete tune; we do not remove catalyst/EGR/EVAP monitors
  • A physically dead donor board that won't read on the bench

Frequently Asked

Still have a question? Text us — replies in minutes.

Why can't I just buy a used ECM and program it myself?
On 2010+ Global A vehicles GM blocks off-board (bench) calibration writes - SPS aborts with off-board programming has been detected. Cloning copies your original's complete data onto a matched donor, so no on-vehicle programming is needed.
Which engines use E38 vs E67 vs E92?
E38 runs Gen IV LS V8 gas (5.3/6.0/6.2 trucks/SUVs, Camaro SS, LS3 Corvette). E67 handles DI and forced-induction LS (CTS-V/ZL1 LSA, ZR1 LS9). E92 is the Vortec truck/SUV gas controller. We confirm from the part number.
Does my donor ECM have to match my original?
Yes - the donor must share the same hardware part number / service number. A mismatched donor won't accept the clone cleanly. Send both and we verify before writing.
Will the cloned ECM keep my VIN and immobilizer data?
Yes. The clone copies the full EEPROM and flash, including VIN, security/immobilizer, calibration and OS - so the donor behaves as a duplicate and starts your car plug-and-play.
Is this a tune or a delete?
No. It's a like-for-like data clone of your factory ECM. We don't add a performance tune or remove any emissions equipment or monitors. For swap, repair and motorsport/off-road use where legally permitted.
